Integrations

Connect Jira and Bitbucket to automatically track your team's work.

Integrations

MeritFlow relies on external signals from your task trackers and version control providers to ingest and score work. Everything happens in the background via secure webhooks.

Important: You must be an Organization Owner to configure global integrations in the MeritFlow settings dashboard.

Connecting Jira

We use a secure OAuth integration to connect directly to your Atlassian workspace.

  1. Navigate to your Organization Settings -> Integrations.
  2. Click Connect Jira to initiate the OAuth flow.
  3. You will be redirected to Atlassian to authorize MeritFlow.
  4. Once authorized, you will be redirected back to MeritFlow where you can select the specific Jira Projects you want us to monitor.
  5. Hit save! Under the hood, MeritFlow will automatically register the necessary webhooks for those projects.

Connecting Bitbucket

MeritFlow analyzes code volume and pull request activity via Bitbucket.

  1. Open your Organization Settings -> Integrations.
  2. Click Connect Bitbucket to initiate the OAuth flow.
  3. Authorize MeritFlow to read your Bitbucket workspace data.
  4. Back in the MeritFlow dashboard, select the repositories you want to track.
  5. Save your configuration. MeritFlow will automatically establish webhook links for Pull Request state changes in those selected repositories.

Linking Member Accounts

Once global integrations are active, MeritFlow will start receiving raw events. However, the system needs to know who completed the event.

Every developer on your team needs to head to their Profile Settings on MeritFlow to connect their personal Jira and Bitbucket accounts to their profile so their contributions can be accurately attributed to them on the real-time leaderboard.
